When your RPMs increase the compressor action increases, so you'll see higher pressure on the high side and lower pressure on the suction side.
If the expansion valve gets stuck what you'll see depends on whether it's stuck open or closed. When I repaired the AC system in my C900 years ago at first it would not cool despite the pressures looking good. It turned out the new expansion valve was no good. (That valve is located under the evaporator cover as I recall.) After replacing it for the 2nd time the AC worked great.
Debris in the system can come from a failed compressor, internal hose failure, or desiccant sac in the drier coming apart. Any debris will play havoc with the expansion valve and can clog evaporator or condenser. (It doesn't do the compressor any good either.)
Here's an AC diagnosis from Sanden that may help: http://www.sanden.com/objects/SANDEN_SYSTEM_DIAGNOSIS_CHART.pdf
