Oil Filter Housing

I managed to crack my oil filter housing while installing a new oil pressure sender for a gauge I was installing in my 86 SPG. After searching far and wide for a replacement I found one from a 93 turbo that appears to fit.
I also bought a new gasket for it and my question is this, do I need any kind of adhesive or anything in addition to the paper gasket? Or do I hold it in place with the mounting bolts and carefully tighten it down so as not to crimp or fold it?
Thanks for reading...
