A/C system rebuild

I'm replacing every component except for the evaporator of my A/C system including all hoses, and converting it to r134a. Following the Townsend imports page on the best method for doing this I see that after pulling vacuum on the system and letting it sit overnight in a vacuum state the first thing to do is add oil either by an injector or a shop made funnel with hose going to the charge line on my manifold gauge set and letting the vacuum 'pull in' the required amount of oil. (8 oz. total) I'll put 2 oz. into the compressor directly before vacuuming the system. Is there an easier/better method without an oil injector than the shop made funnel idea? And what would be the problem with adding all 8 oz. spread out in the various components (say 2 oz. into condenser,2 oz in hoses, and 2 oz to evaporator) direct before vacuuming? Then I wouldn't need to worry about adding oil after the system was vacuumed. Any thoughts? Thanks.
