Heater Valve question ....
Posted by robert hakalski [Email] (more from robert hakalski) on Mon, 19 Sep 2016 07:23:29
I had a leaking heater valve replaced in my 900s a couple of months ago. It was dripping down onto my break pedal and then onto the floor. Anyway - i noticed yesterday on a long drive (200 miles) a definite coolant smell wafting into the car, plus a fair amount of heat coming from under the dash (mostly on my side -driver) - almost like i had the heater on. I haven't noticed this issue much since I've had the A/C on a lot this summer and had been taking the car out on much shorter drives, but yesterday I turned off the A/C and after driving maybe 50 miles or so, I started to smell the coolant and noticed the heat. Could something be stuck open? Nothing is dripping inside or outside the car. Thanks for any help!!
