Question on Power Seat Recliner Mechanism Posted by Bill Homer [Email] (#3427) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bill Homer) on Thu, 16 Feb 2017 11:23:47 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have finally gotten around to trying to fix the recline mechanism of one of the seats in my 9000 Aero, which is evidently the same mechanism used in the C900 (much more written about this on this bulletin board vs. the 9000 board). As expected, one of the plastic tubes is cracked - but it's cracked in at least two places, so a more thorough method than just a patch with 3/8" fuel hose is called for.
What holds the tube assembly into place at the outboard ends, i.e. not the center near the motor? How does this mechanism work - is there a gear that is turned by the cable? Does the square end of the cable fit into a socket in the gear?
