Non-Working Passenger-Side Automatic Seat Belt Posted by RS [Email] (#15) [Profile/Gallery] (more from RS) on Sun, 26 Feb 2017 15:33:17 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Yesterday, looking at the bundle of connectors in front of the passenger-side door, I noticed a 2-pole connector, with black and white wires, that one of the wires had broken off. Replaced it with a new waterproof connector this afternoon.
For the first time in around 5 years, the passenger side mouse-track seat belt works. I can carry passengers without embarrassment again. Yee Haw!
It makes sense that this connector was the culprit. The seatbelt stopped working the last time I had the knee bolster out.
The moral of the story is that, if one of your automatic seatbelts doesn't work, look in front of the door jambs for connectors with small wires that have one missing. That may be the culprit.
