Is this a bad ground? - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
I recently entered the world of c900 convertibles with my purchase of a 1988 black beauty. None of the instrument lights are working (though the idiot lights seem to be functional) and after searching the site for the method of changing the bulbs, I figured the previous owner didn't want to tackle removing the dash, etc required to complete the task. However, as I was driving home one night in a light drizzle, suddenly the instrument lights (or at least most of them) came on. I was sure it was a Christmas miracle! Seems to me that it must be a bad ground that made contact in the dampness of the night. Question is, where should I look? I am hoping this is a common occurrence and someone will reveal what many of you already know... except me. Here's hoping!. Thanks for your collective wisdom.
