The same brakes were used 88-93 (+94 convt.), so I'm going to assume there was only one version of cables.
You're sure that the little crappy gear in the brake that adjusts pad distance isn't hosed? I've seen that a lot. Piece in question has an inset hex machined into it, 5 or 6 mm, or thereabouts -- check your Bentley for details, but it's covered with a bolt-shaped dust cap, I'm guessing 13 mm or so, but it's been a while since I've been back there.
