87 roller type pump, gas found inside rubber bellow. Posted by Rose quartz 87 [Email] (#2119) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Rose quartz 87) on Tue, 12 May 2020 14:06:48 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi All,
I have a gasoline smell in the cabin. Pulled up the plate for the fuel pump to see if anything was amiss. Found fuel in the rubber bellow. A little stumped as to where it came from, but obvious thoughts are supply outlet check valve or the fuel line itself. No signs of leaks there when fuel pump is turned on via the fuse box jump. Would anyone be able to point in the right direction as to how to find the fuel leak?
Also, I've attached an image, (fuel mopped up!), is this the correct orientation for the pump? If not, is the orientation the cause of a possible leak?
Many thanks in advance if anyone has any ideas!
