If the 'lifters/helpers' don't work consider replacing with Moog Cargo Springs - if still available for the C900. I had a sagging rear end in my 89 hatchback, I tried these a few years ago and it leveled it perfectly without any noticeable change in ride. As I understand it - they use a progressive spring rate to allow for normal ride and get progressively stiffer as you put weight in back, to limit the drop when loaded. The rear springs aren't that difficult to swap out either. Good luck!
Take care,
Scott
