'87 900T--- Repairing driver's seat heater, have wire breaks in both the seat bottom and seat back. I took apart the bottom, found and repaired 2 breaks, that nichrome wire now shows continuity (about 1.5 ohms). Don't have time right now to take apart the seat back (much harder than the bottom, from what I have read). Can I use just the bottom seat heater if I disconnect the seat back and replace it with a jumper, or will the shortened heating wire draw too much current and cause problems? Anyone ever try this?
