Ignition Switch testing and/or source for new Posted by 85spgwt [Email] (#669) [Profile/Gallery] (more from 85spgwt) on Thu, 11 Feb 2021 23:40:41 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
M88 900T saga continues! The other day car was running fine, then the starter would not operate. Thought that it was the starter and replaced it, still no joy. Voltmeter showed the new battery being sucked down to about 8 volts when trying to start which indicates to me that there is a short somewhere. Checked all connections and grounds which were good Book says if not starter then ignition switch is the culprit. Is there a way to test the ignition switch when removed from car? Does anyone have a source for a new one? Found some on eBay that are used but getting tired of taking center console apart so would prefer a new one if available if the ones I have don't test out.
