It’s worth fixing, especially since yours is an SPG and a 1990 (very few made... 771) at that. A rusty SPG with holes just sold for over 11k on Bringatrailer so if you can I would fix. Best way to do it is strip out the interior and drop the gas tank. If not the tank then cover it with aluminum foil or something to protect it but remember gas fumes can ignite. I had to repair my floors one year and I just chipped away at it one year. Worth saving an SPG IMO.
