What is the Bosch number of your distributor -- if it ends in 014, I have many of them, we used that version in the racing engine, so I collected spares.
The Bosch manual shows a O 231 O21 O14 part number for the 85 non turbo. There is a chance that someone changed out the dizzy and it is a different version, like the turbo ending in 006. It fits the valve cover, but has different vacuum canisters as I recall.
So, don't get too concerned, the parts are out there, and hopefully you can find a solution.
