don't know about '92 conv, but on my '87 the only thing I had to move was the horn assembly immediately above the drier, otherwise there is just a single fastener mounting it to the inner fender. You can mount the new drier, but leave it capped until you are ready to pump the system down, the drier shouldn't be exposed to air for more than a few minutes. Then connect the hose and hard line and pump the system down. If everything is really sealed up with new O-rings & hoses, it should hold a vacuum overnight (after you isolate and turn the vacuum pump off). Then you can start charging the system. Expansion valve is easy to get to, just have to remove the plastic shroud.
