Agree with the complete system flush, and the add the ESTER oil to the system. I will presume you have converted to R134a.... do not use PAG oil in conversion systems.
High side pressure spikes when condenser fans fail, among other causes. I would very carefully flush your OEM condenser to ensure there is no blockage. Myself, I have never encountered a blocked condenser.... but have found them filled with metal debris when the compressor had given up the ghost.
SANDEN or SEIKI compressor? I prefer the former, if you can find one.
