Gotcha, thank you for the information! That will help me plan for my eventual installation.

Few more questions if you don't mind me picking your brain:
It looks good! My car is red also. Talladega-red I believe, not imola. Did you get it paint matched? What code was used? And do you know if it was single stage like the original paint, or does it have a clearcoat?

And, do you know what adhesive was used to attach it? I'm looking to order some, both to seal in the metal to the foam and to mount the tail to the car. Is this the black 3M 5200 you mentioned before?

Finally, is your hatch too heavy for the gas struts? I know they used to have different strengths of gas struts, but now all they have is a single type, the "strongest" ones, I believe, if that is the right word. Of course here in new england they don't work so well in the cold regardless of the weight on the hatch. Yet another argument to keep the car off the road in winter..
