Squirrel Damage Fuel Line Fix Posted by walt [Email] (#2707) [Profile/Gallery] (more from walt) on Fri, 9 Dec 2022 07:07:09 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Restoring a squirrel-chewed fuel line at filter on a C900. Used Dorman 800-192 8mm nylon line union. Trick is to cut line square and chamfer outside edge to get it to fully insert into union. Used a new section of fuel line on old banjo fitting. Hammered banjo into 40F cold line mounted in brake flaring tool clamped into vise. Will try to discourage further damage by slipping lines inside corrugated wire loom and wrapping that with hot pepper Honda rodent anti-chew tape 4019-2317. Would still like to know if anyone knows someone who makes custom bent nylon fuel lines, so that I could replace entire line from pump to filter.
