Yes sir. I've owned an 87Turbo and an 89 Base, ended up swapping the entire drivetrain from the turbo into the base car (wiring harness from headlight to tail, quite a task). I recall there was something odd about the 89 fuel pump in tank. We ran the turbo engine on the 89 base fuel pump without issue, and the harness connected from one to the other.
What I'm gathering is that these 90-94 tanks are all problematic, and has me wondering if a backward swap to an earlier tank wouldn't be a better path forward. I've now got a 93 and 91 tank, both cracked in different places.
