Assuming that all the fuel and ignition electrical connections are perfect, especially the grounds, a hot start problem with LH2.4 (or 2.2) is most likely to result from a failing ignition module and not a distributor defect. I've even seen them with the cable connector loose and about to fall off (like someone failed to connect it fully). Those modules are widely available and relatively cheap. One test is to pour cold water or spray cold air (canned air for computer cleaning) on the module and see if the car then starts.
