Sorry, i'll be more specific. To be honest, understand the basics of the turbo system, but i am no electrical engineer or whatever. I am guilty of putting 89 octane in the last time (hey, i'm in college), but i have never had this reaction before. I don't run the car very hard often, so this may have been an old problem. Anyway, yes the power cut off was like a switch, flicked off and on real fast. I had the throttle on the floor, fourth gear ( i usually wait for the turbo to spool up before punching it). Possibly it is a tuneup, i don't have ngk's, plug wires are two years old. I stayed on the gas,i honestly didn't notice the rpm's because i was bewildered and i was trying not to be pancaked by a semi. Perhaps i will need to go for a ride tonight to get more specifics. Thanks Jim!!
