I just did the same job for a friend on his 8 valve. If you have done anything like this on another engine and don't hate doing this type of work, get a Bentley Manual and do it yourself. It's pretty straight forward. Finger clearances are as tight as they look. Air conditioning compressor bolts are like a Chinese puzzle. Follow the manual instructions on compressing the cam chain tensioner and keep the chain on the sprocket to maintain valve timing. The head bolts on his engine needed a torx socket, but my local NAPA Parts house had one. I used wood dowels threaded into the block to guide the head into place. Get a friend to help you lower the head into place if you can talk him into it because it weighs a ton with the exhaust manifold bolted in place. I didn't remove the hood (as the instructions say) and that worked out OK. I'd recommend a really high quality head gasket (dealer or someone who knows these cars as a source) and definitely machining the mating surface on the head before reinstalling.
