The seat in a Saab is made up of three parts: A lower webbing, a foam cushion, and a seat cover. On the earlier cars, the webbing gives way, allowing the foam to "sink," taking the velour/cloth/leather cover with it. If you're leaving an imprint, that's because the webbing is no longer supporting the cushion.
My fix: Get some rope for clothes line, and makes your own webbing across the seat frame. Yeah, you can buy the seat fix-it kit, but my experience is the clothes line is more comfortable. You need about 10' of it, reasonably heavy stuff - lace up the underside of the seat as if you were lacing a shoe.
