Simple job, just buy a switch and install it in the center console. If you have a 3-door, you will have empty slots above the power window switches. Install the switch, and then just run the wires for it. There is a plug in the wiring harnes under the seat, so just disconnect it, wire the power line to the switch, then another wire from the switch to the "+" wire for the seat, and then wire the "-" wire for the seat to a good ground. I ran the ground from the seat to one of the bolts that holds the seat to the floor. A good ground ensures good heat. Of course this way you only have "on" and "0ff", but at least your wife can control it as she likes. I did this for my car and it has worked out great.
One word of advise. Go to an automotive specialty shop (not a chain store), and get a real good quality switch. Since you are running full power through the switch, it needs to be able to withstand that power. Initially I used a cheap switch and it got so hot it melted. I got a really good switch after this fiasco, and you can't even feel it get warm no matter how long it is turned on for.
