These days are cold in the Tampa Bay area! The thermostat is located (passenger seat) on the righ side of the seat, about halfway up.
Yes, you need to remove the leather to get to it. Before you go through all that trouble make sure you are getting 12V to the seat. On my car, the juice is on the passenger seat all the time, directly connected to the fuse.
Check to make sure the pressure switch under the seat works, use ohms to test for continuity, and sit...sould be a closed circuit.
Take the white plug out from below the seat back portion, just inside the zipper, disconnect it and test for continuity. If good, you know it's in the bottom seat.
ONce I peeled back part of the leather,(be very wery wery carefull!) I could access the thermostat. Stuck it in the freezer, reconnected it and voila, I had heat in the seats. Didn't last long, but it gave me a chance to test for continuity in the seat bottom...which was good, no broken wires.
Have fun....
Boris
