Kev:
Not sure if it's the same on the '92, but mine has a separate belt tensioner for the A/C belt. If your belt goes around three pulleys, then I'm sure you have one. The lower pulley drives the belt, the top one is on the A/C compressor, and the third one, out to the side, is the tensioner pulley. Look in with a flashlight or droplight from the right side of the engine. It might be pretty dirty down there, so spray some Gumout or something and clean off the gizmo next to the pulley. You should find a long threaded machine bolt with the tensioner nut on it. It will be pretty apparent how it works once you find it.
Don't overtighten the belt -- it's easy to do. Turn the nut a few turns and then start the car and look for slippage. If it still slips, stop the car, then tighten it some more and re-test it. Also, don't even =think= of reaching down there with the motor running, okay? I know that sounds dumb, but I know a guy (we call him Lefty...) who ran his right hand through a moving fan pulley. Ow.
