Bill, you are right. If the Saab is not DI equipped, the Bosch plugs work very well. I ran Bosch Platinums in my 8v 83 900T and 16v 87 900S. I switched my 87 9000S from NGKs to Bosch Platinums right after I bought the car used the end of December 1997. I ran them for about 20,000 miles before switching to the Bosch Platinum + 4 plugs. I have been running the same set since then. I have 224,157 on my 9000 now. I am pretty sure I have over 50k on the Bosch +4 plugs, and they still run strong. I just check them for tightness every 10 to 15 thousand miles. Some of the non-turbo DI equipped 9000s were running the +4 plugs successfully a couple of years ago, according to some of the postings on the bulletin board.
