I brought my 87'auotmatic turbo in to check why it was smoking and drinking so much water. (The engine was rebuit by them 11 months ago, (ie) block, head, gearbox) It turned out the cylinder head was cracked and so it mean't I had to replace it at a cost of £1200 ($2400).

Acording to them, the the auxillary boost gauge fitted may have caused the car to run lean, it was not set up after this was fitted. Does a car need to be set-up when a boost gauge is fitted?

10 months ago I fitted an induction kit, which caused the car to run badly. I brought back to them, and they said this engine (B202)does not respond well to this, so had the original airbox fitted back, with their ITG airfilter (Which did jack for the performance) 11 months down the line, they say this has also could have been the cause for a crack head, (11 months later?)

Is this all true, or not.
