I was also considering Chip Center ECU, but I wound up going with a Map Tun ECU for the following reasons:
1. No timeframe for delivery was given to me by the US distributor for Chip Center, and after 7 weeks or so of waiting I decided to go with Map Tun's US distributor who committed to a 2 week delivery time.
2. Map Tun (which was more expensive at $795 from the US distributor) provides horsepower and torque data on their website with data provided tests run by Trollspeed, a recognized Swedish tuning shop. Chip Center quotes horsepower gains, but provides no torque data, and no independent supporting information.
3. An abundance of favorable testimonials on TSN bulleting boards from people who had purchased Map Tun's ECU. Until Tapani's (from Finland)recent postings about his experience with Chip Center products there was almost no data posted from people who used Chip Center's ECU.
To date I have been very much pleased with the Map Tun ECU and would recommend it to others.
Also, if I recall correctly, most of the Swedish ECU tuners also state that you must add 20% to their quoted prices to reflect shipping and customs duty for their products shipped to the US.
