My '92 9000T has recently begun developing weird electrical tics. My windshield wipers blow fuses with regularity, and so far the one attempt at having a service tech diagnose the problem ended without the tech's being able to so much as reproduce the anomaly.
I was out of town on business last week and let the car sit in the hotel garage for three days. Friday morning it would barely start. It seemed like a battery issue, as it cranked initially but then drew less and less juice before finally lighting up. I had no problem the rest of the day. I then let the car sit over the weekend at a relative's house (wasn't used at all from Friday night until Sunday morning), and at that point I had to have the car jump-started. Drove back to New York with a couple of stops and had no additional problems except for one more blown windshield wiper fuse episode.
The battery's about 3.5 years old, and up until this past week, didn't seem to show any signs of aging. It hasn't been a particularly brutal winter, so it seemed to be holding up well. I'm still thinking this is a battery issue; could it be a problem with the starter as well?
