I'm just now wrapping up my clutch/slave/rear seal job in my 87 9000 turbo and I haven't had any significant problems. I've used the wooden board trick to hold the engine up while I swing it in (see quasi), I also used a jack to level the transmission as I worked the splines in the clutch. I had no problem getting the transmission out and the whole operation took around 4 hours to remove, an hour- two hours to do the rear seal/r&r clutch/r&r slave/clean the transmission and rear of engine area etc, now I'm 2 hours in and can imagine taking around 4 more hours to button everything up. This is all with a decent set of tools and above average knowledge of such an operation. Follow quasi's checklist and instructions and you'll be okay. Best of luck, Justin 87 9000 Turbo 238K
