Hi everyone, I recently purchased a 93 9000 CSE T w 91K miles (my second saab). Prior to buying, I had my mechanic (one of the best - though in all fairness not a SAAB nut) check every inch of the car / road test etc... he gave the thumbs up and I bought it. The car was driving great - no probs at all for 3 days. After a long day of driving in yesterday's 90+ degree heat, the transmission without any warning , no grinding noises, no slipping, no nothing, became more and more difficult to shift into 2nd gear, and then first gear. Within a few minutes of the problem developing -I was unable to shift into 1st or 2nd. I made it home to my driveway limping in 3rd. Am I gonna be crying the blues or could it be something relatively minor??? The orig owner told me, and the service records indicate the tranny was rebuilt about 2 yrs ago / with all new clutch hydraulics etc...
