Brake pads, one more time ...

I'm putting new rotors on the Aero today. Oh, BTW, I got a 94 Aero a week or so ago; a friend is buying the 91 as soon as we get the turbo ironed out. So anyway, brake pads ... does anyone know what stock genuine Saab pads look like (94)? Not the ones that everyones claims are the ones that Saab uses, and that sell for $35 or so, but the real Saab deal. There sure was a difference on the 91; no cheap pad was the same, or as good as, the $90 real Saab deal.
Anyway, the metal parts of the existing pads are painted blue, and the pads have quite a bit of metal in them, so I think they're aftermarket. I like genuine Saab pads because they don't squeal, they have decent senitivity, and they perform well - and damn the dust.
So one more time: What aftermarket pads does everyone like, and why? I don't need extreme duty pads. I don't drive like grandma, but I don't autocross and I don't know from personal experience how fast the car will go and I don't street race; I do drive hard at times, and I want brakes that will stop the car. My priorities are stopping power at least equal to stock, good pedal sensitivity and reasonable pedal pressure requirements, and no noise.
I'm putting on Zimmerman cross-drilled rotors all around, because I like the ones I've had on the front of the 91. I suspect that plain flat rotors groove and glaze more than cross-drilled or slotted, although I don't have enough experience to say for sure. What I do know is that plain rotors do glaze and groove pretty badly over time. I'm sure slotted is best, but they're pretty pricey, and I can't justify the cost for everyday driving.
