You can expect a louder car ;) Honestly a 3 inch exhaust is worthless unless you are talking about doing an SS catback exhaust in which case you can expect better HP and better overall performance. Im having a TOTAL brainfart of how to express this BUT:

Because you will have a larger exhaust system it will be more free flowing which will make your engine run a lot better.

Overall I would bet you could get a 7-12hp gain. Which isn't great, but it's pretty good. Add that with a freeflow K&H filter and a valve (more brainfart, it can be made of C/A parts and someone will help me out here) it's like a blow off valve, but it's not.

Add all of that, and you are looking at 20hp MAX. (12-15 is a more conservative estimate for the whole shebang). If you were to go catback exhaust+a chip you would be looking at close to a 100hp gain (If you go with a Swedish chip. I haven't looked at this stuff in a long time, I'm off my game)
