The Pioneer is FAR more flexible in terms of crossovers and EQ's. One of the key features I like in the Pioneer, is the high pass filter on the speaker outputs, 50/80/120 Hz. This is great, and IMHO, mandatory for the 4" woofers in the front of the 9000. Feed them anything below 80 Hz and you really will be getting some serious distortion if you like it loud.
Of course, the Pioneer also plays MP3's, but I take it you don't care about that, given your choice of Panasonic models. I do think the Panasonic LOOKS far better, but I have serious misgivings about how it will be to actually operate, given that it has no buttons whatsoever. I don't relish the idea of having to actually look at where my finger is on the front of the deck to operate it, plus I've yet to use a touchscreen (any kind) that has anything near the kind of good tactile feedback of even the worst button.
Personally, I don't like either one of those decks, for different reasons. :) But if I HAD to choose, it would have to be the Pioneer due to the crossover options, hard buttons, and MP3 capability, despite the hideous display.
