I recently changed the headliner and the cloth trimps on the door panels. Headliner takes quite a long time and effort, but the doors are quite easy. You don't need to remove the panels at all. Do the following:
1.Pull apart the old material from the doors. Make sure you mark them correctly to make sure where they came from.
2.Use these 4 pieces to cut the new material into correct shapes. Make sure you cut these new pieces 1 inch bigger all around.
3.Spray some strong type 3M glue on the bare panel making sure you cover it all. Using the correct piece, cover the panel evenly with the new fabric.
4. You should have approximately 1 - 1.5 inches of extra material on the sides. Using a small spatula or butter knife, tuck the sides behind the panel. I didn't use extra glue for this; you can if you want to.
It took me no longer than 1 hour. Love the new look. Good Luck.
