Don't worry about it, I have owned two 9ks with auto trans in them, my first one an 88 went bad 3 times in the 197k miles(I know the service history). My second a 92 had its auto replaced at 79k, not because it went bad, it was making noise when shifting, but the saab dealer replaced it under the 80k Griffen warrenty. Since then, there is 61k miles on it, and I have no complaints. When it had about 30k on it I switched it to synthetic, expensive, but worth doing, the trans immediatly changed. It was no long sluggish, it was fast, aggressive, and smooth shifts. So I guess the moral of all this bableing, is put synthetic in. One more thing, when we were still using just regular ATF, we would drain and refill 4 quarts with everyother oil change, and after 1 year of doing this, everytime we drained out the ATF, it was always dark. Now since putting in Synthetic, it is just as red as when I put it in 30k miles ago. REALLY, I drained 4 quarts, thinking since it had been 30k it would need to be changed, well no, all I did was send 30buck for no reason.
