So, I purchased a 5spd, 1994 Le Mans Blue Aero recently. Occasionally I am not able to put the car into reverse (like the reverse lockout won't disengage to let the lever "find" reverse). It "can" be easier to put it into reverse if the engine is turned off, but pretty much it's a gamble on whether I can put it into reverse regardless of any other extraneous factor (warm/cold engine; engine on/off; fingers crossed, etc.).
Any comments aside from "the trans needs to be replaced"? Feel free to post obvious problems (I am using the cluth and I am pulling up on the shift lever spring).
