I just bought an alloy wheel from a salvage yard. It was represented as being straight, but when it arrived it was bent.
I'm about to ship it back and instead get Wheels America (http://www.fixrim.com) to repair the old one, which I'd thought would be unrepairable.
Quote from fixrim website:
"Wheels America charges a flat fee to repair your wheel, we do not charge extra for major damage, welding, refinishing, straightening or clear coating, the price you see is the price you pay!"
The quoted price: $109 to fix any alloy wheel.
They claim to do it in a day. I'm near one of their 7 locations, but otherwise the cost of shipping, if you need it fast, will add considerably.
You might find a local machine shop to repair it for less if it's minor damage, but mine is a pretty bad case, welding will be required.
Good luck and best regards,
Dave
