BPC valve woes....

While taking off the hoses to check the BPC valve, the valve came apart where there seems to be a joint close to the base, exposing the small electical connections along with the rest of the insides.
Is this a bad thing? Can it be fixed or is this thing trash?
Can I run my '96 CS with an FPT ECU without the BPC valve without any problems until I get a replacement?
Thanks.
