Hi,
Glad to hear that were able to find the problem. I just want understand a little better for my own sake (I have also done a auto-5 speed). When you say "bracket" that you are refering to the "intermidiate bearing",( the tunnel looking thing that the passenger axle attaches to),right?
left hub<---->TRANNY<-->Intermidiate bearing<--->right hub
(should be stamped "M")
If so then:
That's one of the most crucial and unobvious parts that need to be swapped during the conversion. The intermediate bearing has the letter "A" stamped on it for "automatic" and the letter "M" for "manual" what did your's say?
If the "A" bearing is used with a Manual tranny the bearing are going to keep breaking. What you probably do is go to the junk yard and take the "M" bearing off some junker.
Best Regards
Roman
