Among the major issues are:
overheated in stop & go traffic in L.A. O.k. at freeway speeds, just at very slow. Water pump supposedly was just changed 500 miles ago by independent Saab shop.
Blower fan motor sounds like it's shot.
Transmission (transaxle?) feels "loose" when shifting. can feel lever move about on throttle up/down.
Wants to "jump" lanes when throttle up/down.
A lot of interior work needed, and some minor body work.
The list goes on & on. I'm waiting to hear from him just how much moiney he wants to put into this car. it could be quite expensive to fix all the things wrong, and after sinking $2K in repairs before he shipped out to Kuwait, he's already exceeded it's KBB value. Especially when taking into account for condition. The one really good point I have found is the engine seems very strong, and wants to RUN! Cruised very well at 85, and wants more. Turbo seems to be in good condition, no lag, no noises, gauge shows good boost. BTW, I'm in northern California.
