If you were bleeding the system, and dropped the socket next to the clutch bleeder valve, the socket will be at the bottom of the bell housing. If so, you can remove the rubber plugs at the bottom of the joint of the bell housing to the cover/block and poke around. If the socket won't work through there, you can at least have an idea of where to fish a magnet down to it.
