Ari, thanks for the good info !
This is turrning out to be an educational thread !
Hopefully a few more folks will have info to add...

Deeph8:
I am no pro - but brakes are sort of important - and I do know
that bleeder nipples that are rusted etc. are quite common - so
that cop out line makes me think 2 things right off:
1 - The dealership is not worthy of your trust anymore....
2 - They should have gotten those nipples out *especially*
because the nipple needed replacement - not ignoring.

Brake lines do rust from the inside out, so unless the ABS
in these cars is really good at mixing the new and old fluid
somehow, all the way back to the wheels - I would not buy
that story, and also be pissed that they charged 70 simolians
for a half-a-job !

My secret for such things:
Kroil - it is the most amazing penetrant I have found in my
entire life.
I 'met' Kroil years ago, when working on high pressure boilers,
we used it to loosen nuts that were on studs sometimes as big
as 1 1/4", that had spent a year since their last loosening in
conditions of extreme heat and moisture.
A squirt today, and another the next day, followed by a squirt
or two when the socket and breaker bar came round - and after
a turn, those nuts mostly came off the fine threads BY HAND !
(The 'chief engineer' did not believe in air tools - that
would not give us enough 'to do' !)

A couple of squirts with time between allowed me to remove the
nasty, scraped up, rounded bleeder bolts from the back of my
'86 1 ton dually GMC truck in under an hour, with no space to
clamp the vise grips and not much to grab either....
I have only good things to say about Kroil.

Anyone wanting more info is welcome to email me directly for
contact info for the company - I just use the stuff, I don't
sell it ! (horseman@vtlink.net).
