I am reposting this question b/c it seems to have dissapeared. Both of my headlight wiper motors are broken so I have never seen them work. I believe the way you use them is with the button that works the headlight washer pump. The headllight washer pump does work but the wipers don't move. I removed both wiper motors from the car and hooked them directly to the battery. The left wiper did not work at all when I hooked the yellow and black wires directly to the battery terminals. After disassembling I managed to fix the motor, it even self parks now. The problem was the motor was carbon tracked. As for the right motor it had the same problem. If I hook the tiny motor to the battery by attaching the 2 little metal terminals it works fine. If I place the motor back into the wiper motor assembly it works for only a few seconds and stops. Then I jave to wait for like a minute or so and it will only work for a few more seconds. I can't figure out what in the world the problem is. On my car there seems to be another problem that the yellow wire is not supplying 12v when the button is being pressed. I have an electrical diagram that shows the power is supplyed from the washer pump. Any ideas on why my wiper motor only works for a few seconds? Please help so I can go and close my car back up.
