Hi FIT,
I agree with Street as I can't see why starter should have changed after '94 (introduction of the short block for the 2.0) between different engines (204 and 234, FPT and LPT).
Anyway, I just found this http://shop.saabpartstore.com/?make=SA&year=1996&x=39&y=7
It's for a 2.3, but I can't see why it should be different form yours.
