The shop simply forgot to torque the bolts. 90 ft. lb. is the correct value, and they *never* work loose at that level.
You're on the right track with your C900, but it's not the threads that sieze, it's the aluminum wheel to the steel lug nut. Look again at your 9000 bolts and you'll see it's coated with a kind of zinc plating - built in anti-sieze. Smear the anti-sieze on the tapered part of the lug nut and you won't have the nut cold-welding to the wheel. I once had a C900 lug nut seize to the point that we had one tire guy torquing as hard as he could on one arm of a "cross" type lug wrench while the other guy beat on the other arm with a sledge hammer!!!
