My Italian '87 has ABS, so I think it's what you American would call and '88, wich was the first MY with ABS for you.
Well, my car has actually some electrical problems, but the larger ones are ABS working "sometimes" (bad sensors or connections between them and the ECU; I think) and the tailights. I have to remove and reinstall my left rear tailight at least one a week, more often if it's raining week, because the turn signal or the brake light don't work.
Apart than that, I had a cooked left stalk, which smoked after a few seconds of high beams turning them off, and a relais gone south that kept lowering the driver's window whenever it liked to. Many bulbs fried, too. When I bought the cat the headlight stayed on even with the key off, if their switch was on. It solved by itself after a while.
I don't think that seat heaters are considered a problem specific of this MY, right? anyway, I had two fails.
These aren't too large problems, but I understand that someone just wanting something to move him from A to B, or just someone who isn't in love with the car just couldn't live with it.
