Hi Lynn,
Thanks for the advice. I'm pretty adept at fixing the old Saab, but am new to AC. I'm in Durham, NC. I grew up largely in Asheville where I would hit the AC button maybe twice a year, but it's a little warmer down here in the flatlands!
Thanks for the eBay tip! Indeed, it looks like a great source for cheap R12. Is pulling a vacuum, etc. something I can do myself with appropriate tools, or is this something best left for the pros (who I assume would charge me an arm and a leg for R12)?
