How long will a bad Slave Cyl last? Posted by Dana [Email] (#2822) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Dana) on Mon, 14 Jun 2004 07:10:46 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Well it turns out my tough shifting is due to a bad slave cylinder. I can shift but I have to get the revs about right and then the gear will go in. Am considering doing the transm removal my self to replace slave. Couple questions for those that have run into this.
How long will a partially failed slave hang in there, so that I can still shift?
For those that have R&R the slave cyl, how did it go? Doable on axle stands? I plan on the clutch, slave, release bearing. Should I bother to do main seal?
Thanks,
